2026 UPDATE ON THE ABORTION PILL

As of late 2025 and early 2026, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is investigating the safety of the abortion pill, mifepristone.

Safety Review: HHS and the FDA are reviewing the safety and efficacy of mifepristone. This review follows requests to re-examine the drug’s safety due to a new study that reveals a serious adverse event rate 22 x higher than what is currently on the label.

The study revealed that 1 in 10 women will experience a serious side effect, such as sepsis, infection, hemorrhage, transfusion, hospitalization, or other life-threatening events after taking the abortion pill.

ABORTION RULING in North Carolina

NC State law required that an ultrasound must be done, and must prove the patient has an IUP (intra-uterine pregnancy) before any abortion in order to rule out ectopic pregnancy, a life threatening condition where the pregnancy implants in the wrong place instead of in the uterus.

Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers then sued the State of North Carolina, claiming this was unreasonable and restricts a woman’s access to abortion. The court then removed the requirement, allowing for abortions to be performed even when the ultrasound is inconclusive. This ruling puts your safety at great risk.

We can provide a free ultrasound to make sure the pregnancy is in the uterus which is ultimately for YOUR safety.
